Dayton Area Ford Dealers honor Dayton-area psychologist, Dr. Kathy Platoni and three other local veterans of the Global War on Terror with the Ford Oval of Honor next month at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.
Dr. Platoni inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame
Dr. Kathy Platoni, (Col. USA Retired), is inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2019. Then, in her own words, Kathy advocates for the victims and survivors of the Ft. Hood shooting, that the event be reclassified from a "workplace incident" to a terrorist act, so that survivors and families of the fallen can receive proper benefits.

Dr. Platoni is a much sought-after speaker who travels throughout the country to share her experiences concerning the psychological impact and moral injuries of war, alternative approaches to the treatment of PTSD. As a survivor of the November 2009 Fort Hood Massacre, she also lectures widely on survival of mass shootings.
